i was watching your vote matters with my dad. it was funny on more levels than one, though i felt that LKY was shielding questions rather than answering them.
at the end of the show, i exclaimed at how opinionated he was.
my dad looked at me and said "now you know how people feel, talking to you."
i retorted with a "yea, now you know i feel talking to you."
we looked at each other and laughed. because we knew it was true.

strategy: rig the results by giving them the answers they want.
Eloisa to AbelardHow happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd;
Labour and rest, that equal periods keep;
"Obedient slumbers that can wake and weep;"
Desires compos'd, affections ever ev'n,
Tears that delight, and sighs that waft to Heav'n.
Grace shines around her with serenest beams,
And whisp'ring angels prompt her golden dreams.
For her th' unfading rose of Eden blooms,
And wings of seraphs shed divine perfumes,
For her the Spouse prepares the bridal ring,
For her white virgins hymeneals sing,
To sounds of heav'nly harps she dies away,
And melts in visions of eternal day.
Joel: Constantly talking isn't necessarily communicating.
Clementine: This is it, Joel. It's going to be gone soon.
Joel: I know.
Clementine: What do we do?
Joel: Enjoy it.
Joel: I could die right now, Clem. I'm just... happy. I've never felt that before. I'm just exactly where I want to be.
Joel: I don't see anything I don't like about you.
Clementine: But you will! But you will, and I'll get bored with you and feel trapped, because that's what happens with me.
Joel: Okay.
Clementine: Joely?
Joel: Yeah Tangerine?
Clementine: Am I ugly?
Joel: Uh-uh.
Clementine: When I was a kid, I thought I was. I can't believe I'm crying already. Sometimes I think people don't understand how lonely it is to be a kid, like you don't matter. So, I'm eight, and I have these toys, these dolls. My favorite is this ugly girl doll who I call Clementine, and I keep yelling at her, "You can't be ugly! Be pretty!" It's weird, like if I can transform her, I would magically change, too.
Joel: [kisses Clementine] You're pretty.
Clementine: Joely, don't ever leave me.
Joel: You're pretty... you're pretty... pretty...
[last lines]
Clementine: Okay.
Joel: Okay.
i tried to recall that feeling, how i felt around you. the touch the smell the taste the sight.
the way my heart melted the way my eyes watered. i tried desperately to recapture the first moments and the tenderness in them. little things that reminded me of you, simple features unique only to you. i remembered them only to realise i could only recapture them from my memories because i had stopped thinking about them. i have forgotten them, even if only for a brief moment. how could i have forgotten? im losing you all over again. the only thing that no one could rob me of, yet i lose it myself. im losing you all over again, and this time it's my fault.
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. i get it now.
