Frozen coffee

There's a heavy silence hovering, my;
Eternal stasis amongst the myriad fidgets.
You see the world pass you by
As your waxed wings melt and fall.
Open Pandora's empty box of sin,
You know what lies beneath;
Zeus' triumph versus Man's apathy
Uninteresting seduction of dulled glitter.

Won't you look at the man across the road;
He sees right through your lies.
Won't you look at the miracle of your breath;
It colours and shades the glass in front.
Fire doesn't burn, water doesn't drown.
Winds of change move the carousel;
Round and round, like the story you live.
Lies carry more truth than truth itself.

Your lovely mottled bruise
Finds expression in stillness
Pink butterfly on your neck,
its freedom sacrificed for your release.

and yet i hear your desperate plea.
i promise(d) not to judge.
you know i have and never will leave
maybe that's why you look right through me.
