was just thinking about the rj girl who got slammed really bad about her elitist comments.

cmon guys. give it a break already. So she was harsh. So she is living in an ivory tower. So she may come across as being condescending and insensitive. it may even seem like her dad's condoning her behaviour.

but you know what? take away the offensive language, all she is saying is that people should stop bemoaning how sad their lives is and move on. practical to the point of insensitivity maybe, but really, does it warrant this much hype just because she is an GEPper and/or she is an MP's daughter?

She is 18 for goodness sake. And it is a private blog. Surely we expect an 18 year old who has never seen much of this world to have a narrow view of the world. I'm sure if she was writing in a more formal capacity and not in her private blog, that she would have chosen more sensible words to express her thoughts. but guys, its a blog. people are known to rant illogical things in their blogs. sometimes they don't even mean it. people say things flippantly when they blog. give it a break already.

and honestly, what has this got to do with the PAP? this is bordering on the point of beign ridiculous. so she's an MP's daughter. so?

Some say this shows a flaw in the education system, because PAP has ingrained this concept of meritocracy to the point of elitism in us, encouraging such insensitivity and arrogance among us. Honestly, which country is free from arrogance. This is a case of a protected, sheltered girl, who has had everything going for her ever since she was an infant. silver spoon in mouth. Is this PAP's fault? Come on, you don't blame Bush for Paris Hilton thinking that Walmart sells walls. These people are not exposed. Nothing to do with the government.

I can't believe how senseless people can be for just lumping everything with PAP. every shortcoming of our soceity, damn its PAP's fault. come on guys. grow up. I'm not saying our government's perfect but seriously, not every problem stems from the PAP.
